A "super-gaggle" of
H-46s, carrying supplies in external sling loads, heads for the
hill outposts during the siege at Khe Sanh in the spring of
1968. Helicopters were the only means of resupplying the
surrounded hill outposts (Hill 861, Hill 881 South, Hill 950,
Hill 1015, and Hill 558) during the siege. |
